Who we are

Out of profound interest in the affairs our beautiful island, Saint Lucia, and a burning desire to ensure that the United Workers Party remains strong, a group of Saint Lucians living in Canada, came together to form the United Workers Party (UWP) Canadian Caucus.

The purpose of this Caucus is to reinforce the vision, values, and programmes of the United Workers Party (UWP), mobilize and channel information to our membership base and raise funds to support the campaign activities of our Party.

The UWP Canadian Caucus is a sub-group of the UWP, comprising several Saint Lucian members throughout the diaspora in Canada. The Executive team is made up of:

What we stand for

  • To uphold the Constitution Order of Saint Lucia and to uphold the fundamental rights and freedoms enshrined therein.
  • Good governance and transparency
  • To promote the political, economic, social, and cultural standards of the people of Saint Lucia to include but not limited to:
    • Improving the standard of living and quality of life of fellow Saint Lucians
    • Empowering our young people through education and training
    • Advancing the health care system by providing Universal Health Care & Health Insurance
    • Improving National Security and strengthening the Justice System
    • Promoting Foreign and local investment
    • Continuing to boost our Tourism industry through local investment, involvement and engagement to create a world-class product and image.
